You are invited to a special evening of music at the UUCC featuring mezzo-soprano Keely Rhodes and pianist and UUCC Music Coordinator Anna Hamilton. Dr. Rhodes received the Bachelor’s of Music from Oberlin Conservatory and Master’s and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. She had the honor of serving as a Fulbright scholar to Italy in 2006-2007. She has performed as a soloist and collaborative artist for choral, chamber, and symphonic groups and as an opera singer in the United States, Europe, Central America and South America. As of 2019, Dr. Rhodes is the new Coordinator of Vocal Studies at UofSC Aiken.
The concert will feature opera selections, art songs, and spirituals by composers including Bizet, Poulenc, Rossini, Mahler, Obradors, Tchaikovsky, and Gershwin. Light refreshments will follow the concert. All are welcome to attend! The concert is free and open to the public, but donations will graciously be accepted to benefit the Bill Moody Performance Fund at the UUCC. Please contact Anna Hamilton with questions.
