THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE
Seven Collages by Returning Vietnam Veterans
These unsigned, undated collages were created in the late 1960s under the artistic direction of artist and art teacher, Sonia Vellani, a UU. The hands-on work was performed by recovering Vietnam War veterans at the VA Hospital in Los Angeles, California.
These seven were selected from a larger portfolio of this body of work now owned by Jean Capalbo.
The general theme of this exhibit is the celebration of the full human experience. It reflects the joy of multi-culturalism, the diversity of life, and the joy, and the limits, of the human experience.
The collages in the exhibit are for sale through the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia and are priced as marked.
