UUCC provides many opportunities for members, friends, and community members to come together for the purpose of bringing greater awareness and understanding about issues of fairness and equity through Social Action.

So Just What Is Social Action Anyway? So glad you asked. Are we a group of people who gets together to plan social functions? Do we plan parties and just hang around and have fun? No, not really. That’s not what we are about but sometimes we do have fun. We are a group with a mission aimed at taking action toward improving Social Justice in our community in many ways. Sometimes that Social Justice takes the form of assisting people in need and other times it means working toward a cause for those that are being mistreated or a challenge that demands fair treatment. Our activities range from assisting families devastated by floods, feeding the homeless, helping families at Christmas, or social action such as rallies against gun violence, removing the Confederate Flag from the State Capital Building, letter writing to the state lawmakers regarding refugee settlement, outstanding participation in the Pride Parade, significant collection of monies each month for charitable or social justice organizations through our Share the Plate program, educational programs for the community, and the list goes on. So yes, we are social and we are active! We invite you to come and be a part of our group.

You are welcome to join our meetings as scheduled:
