Saturday, April 22: March for Science

Please wear your yellow Standing on the Side of Love shirts and join us for a rally at the South Carolina State House from 11am to 1pm to listen to a number of our state’s leading scientists, engineers, researchers and environmental leaders and unite in a nationwide “call to support and safeguard the scientific community.”  This event is the sister march to the national March for Science in Washington. This event is hosted by Greater Columbia Action Together, a group of people who value science and recognize how science serves. We come from all races, all religions, all gender identities, all sexual orientations, all abilities, all socioeconomic backgrounds, all political perspectives, and all nationalities. Our diversity is our greatest strength: a wealth of opinions, perspectives, and ideas is critical for the scientific process. What unites us is a love of science, and an insatiable curiosity. We all recognize that science is everywhere and affects everyone.” – SCIENCE, NOT SILENCE!  We are planning a sign making party for April 9th.  Stay tuned for updates!
