We have an email list where some suggested links are sent prior to the meeting -If you are on the Forum email list, please check your email for documents to read ahead of time.  If you would like to be included on the Forum email list,or have questions, contact Jeanette Walton (please text and include your name (803)466-0594).

Sustainable Second Sundays
The Green Committee continues its Sustainable Second Sundays in June with a table about the Savannah River Site. Each month we have a table display following the service with information about an environmental issue with suggestions for possible activities or actions to take. On June 11, Tom Clements, director of the non-profit organization Savannah River Site Watch, will have a display about SRS, where the Department of Energy is planning to convert the site from nuclear waste clean-up to production of plutonium cores for new nuclear weapons. For more information and a link to a letter you can edit to Rep. Clyburn, see SRS Watch fact sheet: https://tinyurl.com/22azbec4

UUCC Women’s Lunch, Thursday, June 15, 12pm, Social Hall
The UUCC Women’s Lunch is held at noon on the third Thursday of every month in the Social Hall. Please bring food or drink to share and let either
Joan Watterson (joan.l.watterson@icloud.com or 803-381-7208) or
Mary Maclachlan (drmarymaclachlan@gmail.com or 803-348-4370)

B Smith Does Lee Smith, Friday, June 16, 7pm, Social Hall
Our own Barbara Bates Smith is returning on June 16th at 7:00 p.m. for the inaugural performance of her one-person show, The Happy Memories Club, based on a short story by Lee Smith. The show features a feisty retirement center resident on the verge of being kicked out of her writing club because her memories are not happy enough. Instead they are funny and poignant…and slightly naughty. All proceeds from this event will go to UUCC. Tickets are $20 payable at the door.  Click here for more information.
