Lester Young, Jr is a formally incarcerated person who served 22 years and 5 months in South Carolina Department of Correction. Since returning back to his family, community and society, he’s been using his story to prevent others from a life of crime and adovacating for #WORKINGfuture for those after incarceration.

Our search began at UUCC six years ago and we never had to look any further. We found our place here with a community of like-minded people and it became our second home, our second family.

I found a home here where this diverse religious community really works to better our world. Respect and honor for the “other” is the main ingredient in our cooperative efforts as a movement.
